Matthew F. Marshall

Matt is a partner in the firm and is based in its Cranberry office. He has extensive experience representing financial institutions, businesses, governmental agencies, and individuals in real estate transactions, commercial litigation, loan documentation, title, land use, regulatory compliance matters, corporate and business law, municipal law, as well as creditors’ rights in bankruptcy and other similar matters. 

 

Matt takes pride in the facilitating his client’s objectives with a thoughtful and cost-efficient approach to accomplish the desired result. 

 

Matt earned his B.A., cum laude, in economics and political science from Allegheny College, where he was an Alden Scholar. He earned his J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 1994. During law school, Matt clerked for the Honorable Donald E. Ziegler of the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania.

 

Matt is a member of the Butler County Bar Association, Allegheny County Bar Association and Pennsylvania Bar Association. He is admitted to practice in all Pennsylvania state courts, U.S. District Court for the Western, Middle and Eastern Districts of Pennsylvania, U. S. Court of Appeals, Third Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court.

In addition to practicing law, Matt has spoken and written materials on real estate, development and land use issues for the benefit of the bar as well as other public and private organizations. He also served on the boards of various charitable and civic organizations, including the Cranberry Area Chamber of Commerce (Former President), the Endowment for Butler County (Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors), and the Knights of Columbus of St. Kilian Parish in Cranberry (Treasurer).
