James P. Coulter
Jim is one of the senior partners of the firm. He is based in the Butler office. His primary practice areas involve the representation of banks, commercial lenders, individuals and businesses in commercial and residential real estate lending and closings. He also maintains an active practice in estate administration and in assisting clients with the formation of limited liability companies, corporations and business entities.
Jim is a member of the Butler County Bar Association and Pennsylvania Bar Association. He is admitted to practice in all state courts and the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania.
He received a B.S. in Chemistry, cum laude in 1979 from Dickinson and his J.D. in 1982, cum laude, from the University of Pittsburgh. While in law school, Jim served on the University of Pittsburgh Law Review and the Journal of Law and Commerce.
Jim has maintained an “AV” pre-eminent rating from Martindale Hubbell Peer Review Rating service for many years. He and his associates have received 15 consecutive “Best of Butler” Awards from the U.S. Commerce Association for Attorneys engaged in Real Estate practice for 2009-2023.
